Halloween Party Tips Terry Home

Well, it’s that time of the year again when spooky, creepy crawlees come out…. yes, it’s Halloween time. And you would like to throw a Halloween Party. Where do you start and what do you do? The first thing to do is to set a budget and stick with it. The party should include all the important elements of the Halloween as well as someone time and help to clean up the aftermath. It would be great to look for some party help that would help you achieve this goal without any fuss or mess. So here are some things and great tip to keep in mind.

Invitation – It’s best to choose a list of the guests that you want to invite and a time, date and venue that is suitable for all your guests.

Food and Drinks – Plan a menu that is creative and scary. Think in advance if you would like your guests to bring any drinks or food. No Halloween is complete without a punch. It’s advisable to have 2 kinds of punches alcoholic and non-alcoholic. If you are expecting children, then it’s best to have a fruit punch. Something blood red or green would be creative. If you plan to have cocktails, make sure that you have at least 3 – 4 cocktails per guests.

Make sure you have plenty of savory dishes or appetizers on hand to balance that Halloween sugar. Look up recipes that can be made in advance

For desserts baked items are the best, because they can be decorated easily and made in advance. Use cookie cutters to cut out ghosts and cats and other creatures and then decorate.

Goodie Bags – Halloween is all about candies and sugar. My suggestion would be to have small portions of candies. Perhaps a bite size or mini versions would be the best. This is something that the guests can take home after the party. Pack them in nice party bags which could be easily purchased from a party store.

Theme Party Decoration and Entertainment –These days there are so many options when it comes to having a theme Halloween party. From Zombies to Mad Scientist Laboratory to the 80’s or Pirates theme you name it. Decide if you would like to have a theme party and would like your guests to dress up accordingly or would you offer the costumes.

As for the house there are a variety of ways to decorate the exterior and the interior of the house. Carve Jack O’ Lanterns and cover them with gold or silver metallic paint to make them look beautiful at night. Other decoration like bats, spiders, balloons and cobwebs can be dangled inside and outside the house to give a festive or a frightening look whichever you prefer.

Candles can add an extra touch of mystery and spooky feeling if scattered throughout the area. But make sure that they are displayed in a safe and dramatic way.

Adding a little bit of spooky music would help to complete the creepy effect.

If your guests enjoy scary movies, then it would be nice to play a horror movie during the party and let the guests know what you have to offer. Start at a specific time and let the guests know in advance so that they can join.

Having some extra masks or fancy hats to offer and let the guest get creative is a good idea as well. If you are having a theme party, then it’s best to stick to the theme. Make sure you have a video camera or a digital camera and some extra batteries to capture all those fun moments.

Remember to be creative and take fun photos and video that could later be shared with all the guest later.

After Party Cleanup – Be sure to clean up all the mess as soon as possible. You can get rid of most of the sticky candy and pumpkin mess with liquid detergent and lukewarm water. Eggs outside the house can be hosed down and later cleaned with some water and vinegar it required. For any wine stains the idea is to clean immediately with lukewarm water and some liquid dishwasher detergent. Be sure to hire professional party help who are able to clean up messes like this in no time efficiently and effectively.
